Kforce Business Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Kforce has a client in search of a Business Analyst in Washington, District of Columbia (DC).Summary:This is the program that oversees the conduct of the physical security assessments of the buildings the client protects. While the general description/requirements are below, the program is seeking a candidate with experience using business process mapping software who can assist in the developing new processes. Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops and conducts complex qualitative and quantitative studies and research and analysis to evaluate, integrate, or improve program/project productivity through the formulation of conclusions and recommendations

  • Identifies and develops methods, plans, and documentation to streamline operating procedures, reports, and systems to improve operations, achieve savings, and encourage long-range planning to assure results

  • Supports development of business plans, policies, and procedural documentation and other deliverables in support of executing decisions

  • Assists with devising and implementing performance measures related processes and systems

  • Oversees process and productivity improvement, systems alignment, organizational assessments, and program audits and evaluations

  • Crafts and enforces quality control programs

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Organizational Assessment or related discipline is required - other degrees can be considered if experience demonstrates capability

  • MBA or MS degree is desired

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in leading the conduct of requirements defining activities and formal documentation

  • Possesses requisite knowledge and provides customized business focused objective advice expertise and specialist skills to create value and improve business strategy, internal processes, and program/project performance

  • Areas of expertise may include: business process reengineering, performance management, statistical process control, individual and organizational assessment and evaluation, process modeling and simulation, strategic and business planning, change management, and organizational development

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical and cost data

  • Ability to propose and assess capabilities of alternative solutions to meet program needs

  • Ability to work effectively with a group or independently

  • Ability to effectively manage several projects at one time
