CSRA is seeking an experienced Federal Proposal Architect to serve as part of a leadership team on top priority bids as a member of CSRA’s corporate growth organization. This position partners with senior proposal managers, capture managers, and lead solution architects to drive the development of our most complex proposals, interfacing with all levels of CSRA employees and executives. This position hones the ‘why us’ message and identifies how to best integrate key message and solution elements across all required topics. Through leadership of iterative content development and reviews, this position ensures the CSRA story is effectively captured across all elements of complex proposals, to include technical, non-technical, and cost components of both written and oral proposals. The position will require flexibility to work in CSRA’s Chantilly, Falls Church, and Arlington, VA proposal facilities. Serve as a member of proposal leadership teams for top opportunities
Participate as a senior advisor across the capture lifecycle, consulting on key proposal preparation activities that ensure readiness of technical and non-technical solutions for solicitation release
Lead the application of CSRA’s iterative storyboarding practices to guide the development of written and oral proposal content
Partner with lead solution architect to integrate technical and non-technical content
Collaborate with graphics artists and proposal content authors to create graphic constructs
Lead the development of complex oral proposal content, to include creating presentation constructs that span multiple sections
Coach oral proposal participants to ensure effective story integration in presentation content and Q&A sessions
Partner with senior proposal managers to refine proposal response outlines and schedules
Collaborate with CSRA technical, customer, and business SMEs to identify and apply differentiated technical and business strategies
Develop and refine key messaging content, to include win themes, solution strengths, and executive summaries, working with content authors to integrate effectively within written and oral materials
Provide guidance and feedback on cost strategies, BOEs, and other cost/pricing-related content
Participate as a senior member of color reviews, leading color review recovery as appropriate
Serve as a mentor/coach to proposal personnel
Bachelor’s degree preferred…4 years of additional experience in place of a Bachelor’s degree is acceptable
Exceptional leadership and organizational skills as evidenced by ten or more years of experience in a Federal capture/proposal leadership role (e.g., lead solution architect, proposal manager, capture manager) with significant involvement in and leadership of complex, large ($100+M), highly strategic opportunities
Prior experience leading the development of complex oral proposal presentations with experience on GSA FEDSIM proposals and as an orals coach desired
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
Ability to motivate, inspire, and coach proposal personnel of all talent levels and seniorities toward a common vision realized in proposal artifacts
Ability to synthesize and reconcile conflicting or ambiguous solicitation requirements and define the best path forward for proposal teams to address all requirements
Demonstrated leadership in high pressure, time-sensitive environment
Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the CSRA story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches
Excellent writing and communication skills
Understanding of and experience working in one or more IT domains (e.g., software development, IT infrastructure services, cloud computing, cyber security, data management services, etc.) is desired
Strong understanding of contract financial delivery models desired
Experience working with Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint
