We are currently recruiting a Staff Systems Engineer. This individual willlead project system design and requirement activities while working closely with the Program Chief Engineer who is responsible for the project’s technical solution. These activities include support of system hardware, software and interface requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, verification, and validation. This position will also support system specification development, creation and enforcement of interface control documents, system risk management, and system configuration management. This position will be responsible for creating, maintaining and using requirements related documentation and databases for multiple programs. The position interacts with other systems engineers, and collaborates with our mechanical, electrical, software, and aeronautical engineers in planning, designing, manufacturing, and testing of systems to ensure system software and hardware requirements are traced to the design and formally verified/validated. The position will coordinate directly with customer, subcontractor, and vendor personnel through written and oral communication.

Qualifications

Requirements

Candidates for consideration must have at least a BS degree in Engineering, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years experience in design, development, integration and test of aerospace or other defense related technical systems. A degree or relevant coursework in Systems Engineering is a plus.

  • System level design experience is required in which the applicant has led or been significantly involved in the integration of multiple subsystems, the definition of multiple interfaces and had involvement in the trades of multiple solution options.

  • You must have demonstrated expertise in Systems Engineering disciplines and the government program acquisition lifecycle, to include requirements definition, design reviews and documentation, and integration and test.

  • You must have demonstrated the ability to handle multiple programs and responsibilities simultaneously.

You should have experience with and an understanding of aerospace systems, especially in the development of integrated hardware/software products. Experience in unmanned systems is a significant plus.

  • Hands on experience using a requirements tracking system is required.

  • Experience in development of functional and non-functional requirements as well as technical requirements developed from customer objectives and concepts of operations is a significant plus.

  • You will need good interpersonal skills along with the ability to interface with all functional disciplines.

  • You must have excellent verbal communications skills and present well to customers in formal and informal environments.

  • Your written communication skills should include a successful track record in writing of correspondence, specifications, plans, and reports, as well as solid personal computing skills including word processing, spread sheet, database systems and presentation graphics.

US citizenship is required. Candidates must have at least a US Government Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance at theTop Secret level with SSBI.
